Rules Congress

Drum Corps Associates recently held their Rules Congress and Winter meeting in Baltimore, Maryland with a few new changes added. The use of all brass instruments was approved by the directors. All brass instruments played by buzzing of the lips, made of metal and pitched in any key, and any number of valves may be used. A slide may be employed to also change the pitch as well. This includes all traditional and concert brass instruments. High school hash marks will be used at all shows. The maximum time limit of performance time was removed. Any equipment that is allowed on the performance field may be amplified. DCA President, Allen Buell, deemed this a highly productive and successful meeting.
